As AVP, Executive Talent Development & Succession, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and HR, driving high-impact strategies that identify, develop, and elevate top-tier talent. You will lead the design and execution of talent management programs, with a particular focus on the Canadian business—ensuring robust talent review processes and succession planning that meet both immediate and future business needs. This role is responsible for developing and executing talent management solutions that address the unique needs of the Canadian business.

What you will do   

  • Lead execution of annual executive talent assessment process to ensure high potential leaders and executives are consistently identified and developed to meet business needs. Manage talent pools and succession plans providing insights and recommendations derived from metrics to enhance business talent plans, proactively identifying any succession and talent risks
  • Design and oversee the development of leadership programs as well as supporting development of personalized paths including coaching, assessments and stretch assignments
  • Lead the development of business reporting on talent metrics for senior executive teams
  • Be a thought leader in the area of Talent Management and understanding the market trends and provide actionable insights as to how they can be adapted by Senior Leaders in the organization
  • Partner with Canadian business and HR to advise, consult, design and implement on talent management initiatives
  • Curate external partnerships with assessment, coaching and educational institutions to support development and learning opportunities for Canadian executive talent
  • Collaborates to ensure alignment of programs, diversity, equity and inclusion, talent mobility and execution of global strategies that will address immediate and long-term executive development.
  • Monitor and measure the efficacy of talent solutions, programs, and training and adjust to continuously improve and ensure continually aligning to the needs of the Canadian business.

  What you will bring  

10+ years of progressive experience in executive talent management, succession planning or leadership development; experience working in complex federated global organizations considered an asset.Strategic Business Partnership: You speak the language of the business—your communication is fluid, your influence is impactful, and your counsel is trusted at the highest levels.Executive Talent Leadership: Experience building and leading executive talent functions is a distinct advantage.
