Cantonese speaking caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Cantonese speaking Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your contributions will enhance the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a safe and nurturing environment.

Duties

As a Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being
• Helping with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition
• Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring health conditions
• Supporting clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Assisting individuals with disabilities in daily tasks and activities
• Running errands, shopping, outings with the client as needed
• Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental stimulation
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in client conditions

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for the Caregiver position will possess:

• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or community care/home care.
• Knowledge of senior care practices and dementia care techniques
• A background in caregiving or home care services is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks as needed to maintain a hygienic environment
• Willingness to undergo any necessary training related to caregiving duties
• Can speak Cantonese

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
