Overview

Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our residential or commercial properties. Your expertise will help keep our facilities running smoothly, fostering a safe and welcoming space for all. THIS WILL BE ON CALL JOB.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct welding repairs and perform basic carpentry tasks such as residential painting and drywall repairs.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future inspections.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repairs or urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair within residential or manufacturing settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Skilled in welding techniques and basic carpentry, including residential painting.
  • Experience working with schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
  • Supervising experience or leadership skills preferred for team coordination roles.
  • Customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents, tenants, or team members in a professional manner.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is highly desirable.
