What will you do as an Manufacturing Technologist?Working under the guidance of the Production Lead, the Assembler/Manufacturing Technologist diligently performs product assembly, tests, alignment, calibration, and verification as well as repair activities ensuring conformity of products to define requirements. Scope of work includes all processes from initial inventory handling through to finalization and packaging.
This position is specifically for the afternoon shift.
Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:
- Prepares components, assembles, aligns, calibrates, verifies and tests product in accordance with the manufacturing documentation to ensure product is manufactured to quality requirements.
- Strictly adheres to detailed instructions, drawings, specifications, and bills of material to accurately process components into finished products.
- Performing work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
- Adheres to ESD policy and ensures proper handling of product and its components.
- Participates in continual training and development.
- Manages time to ensure product is built and repaired to satisfy standard times.
- Accurately documents status, labour and parts on the electronic traveller.
- Posts assembly and material transactions in NetSuite database.
- Promptly segregates and reports non-conforming parts and products.
- Escalates all issues or concerns immediately to the Production Leads and/or Production Manager. Clearly communicates and clarifies details about assembly issues.
- Maintains a clean and tidy work area.
- Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma.
- Experience working in an electro-mechanical assembly/test is highly preferred.
- Proficient with computers.
- Soldering experience to IPC 610 class 2 standards is an asset.
- Cleanroom experience is an asset.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proven track record of quality and performance.
Salary Range: $37,900 - $50,869
