The shift pattern for this post is 37.0hrs, Monday - Friday, :30/16:00hrs.
Housekeeper in Ward 62, Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH).
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in our Hyper Acute Stroke Unit as a Housekeeper. The housekeeper will work in a distinct role to support the delivery of clinical care by assisting in the maintenance of clean, safe, attractive environment, conductive to patient care.
Co-ordinating a range of services including cleaning, supplies, stock control, linen services, catering and general maintenance issues, reporting and rectification. The post holder will work closely with the other support staff, Senior Charge Nurses and other nursing staff to ensure that national and local standards are met.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable. The successful candidate should be a self-motivated, conscientious person & must be flexible – having the ability to work with minimum supervision. Good communication skills, and an ability to plan and prioritise your workload is essential.
Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full-time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
