E2 Academy is a K–12 school for twice-exceptional (2E) learners — students who are cognitively advanced and also experience complex learning, behavioural, or sensory needs. Our goal is not to fix students, but to help them navigate a world that was not designed for them while building confidence, independence, and self-advocacy.

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time teacher with strengths in Science and Physical Education who brings steady calm, curiosity, and compassion into the classroom. The ideal candidate creates hands-on, engaging learning experiences and supports neurodiverse learners with patience, flexibility, and humour. This role includes shared planning, collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to a learning environment where students feel safe, understood, and inspired.

The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching Junior High and High School Science and can tailor instruction to a wide variety of learning profiles while preparing them for diploma exams.

  • Collaborates closely with specialists and in-class learning facilitators.
  • Builds warm, trusting relationships with students and families.
  • Supports student regulation with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate (Certificate # required)

Assets

  • Experience with junior high and high school science
  • Experience with twice-exceptional or neurodiverse learners
  • Training in trauma-informed practice, self-regulation, or inclusive education

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $47,500.00-$80,900.00 per year
