PART TIME RECEPTIONIST
Metrotown Mitsubishi has a new opportunity for a part time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team We are looking for a receptionist that is energetic, upbeat and eager to interact with others in-person, and over the phone. Automotive dealership experience is a plus but not a must.
$18-20 per hour
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer basic customer inquiries and refer more extensive inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Handle telephone calls in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the time they are put on hold.
- Take messages, indicating the caller's name, company name if applicable, the time and reason for call, and ensures the message gets to the appropriate party.
- Refer customers to the appropriate department, notifying the employee concerned that a customer is waiting and introducing customers to the sales consultants.
- Maintain a tidy and clean customer waiting lounge, and coffee station.
- Take payments from customers and issuing receipts along with other office duties as required or requested by management.
- Perform clerical duties and accounting duties as assigned by Management.
- Distribute any incoming mail to appropriate personnel.
- Order office supplies.
- Follow company safety policies and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to be versatile in working with changing priorities of position responsibilities, and ability to multitask.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Work independently and as a team to drive maximum efficiency.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in an active, social atmosphere without being distracted.
- Professional and confident attitude, strong time management skills.
- A second language is ideal or preferred.
- Completed high school education, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Dealership admin experience is an asset.
SCHEDULE:
- Part Time: 20 to 25 hours a week
- Availability: Weekends, Weekdays, Evenings, On-call coverage and holidays occasionally
CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office applications – Word & Excel
