We find pipelines and buried utilities underground. It's a whole "under-world" beneath the surface – get it? Good. Underworld Line Locating is an independently owned, private company based in Fort St. John, BC. Underworld provides pipeline & utility locating and ground disturbance management services for a diverse group of industries and clientele throughout Western Canada (and beyond). We've been in business for 16 years.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Senior Locator in completing the line locate field survey.

  • Calibrate and test locating and safety equipment.

  • Utilize work trucks, ATV's, UTV's, argos, and snowmobiles to access worksites.

  • Participate in and contribute to our company safety and Q&A systems.

  • Maintain and organize field units, worksites, and the office.

Compensation:

  • Top wages

  • Enrollment in our company benefits program after a 3-month probationary period.

Qualifications:

  • H2S Alive, First Aid Level 1, and Common Safety Orientation.

  • Preference will be given to those applicants with a valid driver's license.

  • Must be willing to stay and work away from Fort St. John for extended periods of time.

  • Must be willing and able to stay in camp for extended periods.

  • Must possess the fitness and stamina to work outdoors, for long hours, in all seasons.

  • Must have the ability and physical capacity to lift 50 Ibs.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment, pre-access, and post incident drug & alcohol testing.

Note: Previous experience as a locator or in a related field is preferred but not required.
