JLZ Homecare and our wonderful clients are looking for Compassionate, Skilled, and Caring PSWs. We are currently expanding and looking to add to our team

We are looking for staff that can work in our Shared Assisted Living Home located in Scarborough. Day, evening, and night shifts are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client safety at all times

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities

  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals

  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding

  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment

  • Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting if necessary

  • Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals

  • Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors

Requirements:

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada and have local experience

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate is required (from a PSW school in Ontario)

  • Home Care or Long-Term Care experience is preferred, but not required

  • Previous experience with elderly clients is considered an asset.

  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills are required.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Compassionate and patient nature to provide emotional support to individuals

  • Valid First Aid / CPR Certification is required.

  • Cleared Vulnerable Sector Screen (Within the last 2 years)

  • Must have reliable transportation methods or a valid Ontario Driver's license and auto insurance.

  • Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications required for the position
