About the Role:

The Bakery Manager oversees all bakery operations, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards for product quality, leading and training our talented team, and fostering a positive customer experience. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Bakery Department.
  • Supervise the Bakery Associates, Pastry Associates and the Bakery Lead ensuring accountability and optimizing store performance
  • Organize and plan baking production, considering customer demand and seasonal variations.
  • Train and coach staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and update recipes, maintaining the authenticity of Italian baked goods.
  • Place orders for bakery ingredients and maintain inventory levels to meet demand.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues.
  • Report directly to the Cafe and Production Manager.
  • Collaborate with other department management to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure cleaning procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in baking and pastry.
  • Proven experience as a Bakery Manager or similar role in a bakery or food production setting.
  • Knowledge of Italian baked goods and traditional recipes is essential.
  • Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food production.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of bakers and associates.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
