We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role requires a strong background in various operating systems, cloud platforms, databases, and networking protocols. The Systems Administrator will play a critical part in supporting our technological environment and implementing innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Windows, Linux, and Unix-based operating systems to ensure system stability and security.
  • Administer cloud platforms including AWS and Azure, optimizing cloud resources and services.
  • Maintain virtualization environments such as VMware and ESXi, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions.
  • Implement and manage DNS, VPNs, and other network services to ensure secure connectivity across the organization.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, Shell Scripting, or PowerShell to streamline operations.
  • Manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to support scalable application deployment.
  • Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, T-SQL, REST APIs for continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Monitor system performance and implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment using DevOps practices.
  • Document system configurations and procedures for future reference and compliance.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and Azure platform management.
  • Proficiency in VMware vSphere/ESXi environments for virtualization management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
  • Expertise in database management with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with DNS configuration, VPN setup, and network security protocols.
  • Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes for orchestrating scalable applications.
  • Knowledge of REST API integration for system communication.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git version control systems and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of computer networking principles including TCP/IP protocols and VPNs.
