Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, staff supervision, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Oversee menu planning, development, and execution to align with restaurant standards and customer preferences
  • Manage food production processes ensuring high-quality presentation and taste in all dishes served
  • Supervise food handling, preparation, and presentation to maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • Oversee inventory management, control stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste through effective inventory control practices
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and client specifications
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols across all kitchen operations
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Train staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong banquet or catering background preferred
  • Supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen environment with team management responsibilities
  • Extensive culinary experience including food production, food safety certification, and kitchen management skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling best practices
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
  • Strong background in menu planning, food service management, and restaurant operations
  • Experience in hospitality or food industry settings with a focus on quality service delivery
  • Ability to oversee dietary department requirements when applicable
  • Skills in catering coordination, shift management, and food service management are highly desirable
  • Culinary training or culinary school certification preferred; experience in restaurant or hospitality management is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,171.39-$60,870.11 per year
