Position Overview

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to support our early learning programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, can follow classroom plans, and contributes to creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist ECEs in planning and implementing daily activities.
  • Support a caring, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged 0–6.
  • Supervise children during play, activities, and routines.
  • Help with setup and cleanup of materials and learning spaces.
  • Observe and support children's emotional, social, and physical development.
  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.
  • Communicate positively with children, families, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certificate OR experience working with young children.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Level C (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from ECEs and supervisors.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with children.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
  • Experience supporting children with diverse abilities or needs.
