Position Overview

We are seeking a caring, motivated, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, committed to best practices in early learning, and eager to contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0–6.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Observe, document, and assess children's progress.
  • Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Follow licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to create culturally responsive and accessible programming.

Qualifications

  • Valid ECE certification (ECE, ECEA, or equivalent based on provincial requirements).
  • Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working with diverse families and children with varying needs (an asset).

Assets (Optional but Preferred)

  • Experience in inclusive or special-needs settings.
  • Additional training in ASL, behaviour support, trauma-informed care, or early intervention.
  • Ability to support cultural and linguistic diversity.
