Our client is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Manager to join their team. As a Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will be part of the HR department supporting the payroll and benefits operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans across both countries.
  • Coordinate with benefits brokers and manage open enrollment processes, employee communications, and compliance.
  • Lead and develop a team of payroll and benefits professionals to deliver high-quality service and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations in both countries, including reporting and remittance obligations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration across Canada and the U.S.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising a payroll and/or benefits team.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment standards, taxation, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll systems (Dayforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
