The Program

CJHS is seeking a hands-on Crew Supervisor to lead renovation and maintenance projects that support our mission of creating safe, welcoming spaces. You'll work closely with a small team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone with trade experience who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems, and making a tangible impact in the community.

The Position

  • Lead day-to-day renovation and repair work, including painting, drywall, flooring, basic carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Plan and organize job tasks to ensure smooth operations and timely completion.
  • Coordinate material orders and liaise with tradespeople or subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations, including hazard identification, safe work practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and other stakeholders about project progress and any issues.
  • Monitor quality of work and provide guidance and training to staff and apprentices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in renovation, construction, or building maintenance.
  • Proven experience supervising a small team or crew.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices (phone/tablet) for scheduling and job tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
