Are you interested in working with the GOA 3D (Digital Design and Delivery Division ) team on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across the GoA. As a Senior Front-End Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reimagine how public services are delivered, ensuring solutions are intuitive, accessible, and user-centered.
What You'll Do
- Design intuitive, accessible front-end solutions for digital services.
- Create UX deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, flows, and design specifications.
- Build and refine pattern libraries, components, and visual style guides.
- Support design research activities and incorporate findings into design recommendations.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retrospectives).
- Develop and run usability tests; provide clear insights and recommendations.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (including WCAG).

What You Bring (Required)
- Professional experience designing and improving digital services for web or multi-channel delivery.
- Strong portfolio with UX artifacts: wireframes, flows, prototypes, scenarios, etc.
- Experience working within an agile, cross-functional product team.

Nice to Have
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Ability to explore multiple design solutions and articulate design rationale.
- Experience designing for multiple devices or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG).
- Familiarity with design thinking and service design methods.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.).
- Experience working in public-sector digital service teams (e.g., UK GDS, Ontario Digital Service, BC DX, GoA Digital Innovation Office).
- Experience on projects involving service innovation or digital transformation.
