Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.

The LDI Mine features a unique, ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. Senior Production Geologist #

Provide Senior Production Geologist services to operations, addressing both underground and open pit requirementsj, along with providing leadership within the Geology Department.

The successful candidates will work a 14 day on/14 day off rotation at the Lac des Iles mine site.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and train members of the Technical Services Department including Production Geolgists and Core Technicians in the provision of geological services and databases, providing support to Engineering and Operations.

Ensure that all ncessary daily, weekly ,monthly and annual reporting and compliance needs are met in a timely fashion

Oversee the work being done by contractors and as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree from accredited university specializing in Geology or Geosciences discipline

Professional Geology Designation, or in the process of obtaining

Ideally 5-7 yers of underground operations experience

Experience with Datmine Studio and Autocad considered an asset

Able to perform as a part of the team in a safe and efficient manner.

Previous underground experience and logging definition diamond drill core is an asset.

Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.
