In this client-facing role, you understand the importance of customer service and the foundation of ACT. You will become a product knowledge expert, knowing all about what we sell and how to support our customers. General responsibilities include:

Driving & Deliveries

Safely load and unload product using the appropriate equipmentKnow our products and your routeKnow our customers. Greet and assist them in a friendly and efficient manner

When not on the road, you will be a valued member of our warehouse team. You'll perform a variety of tasks related to product movement, warehouse organization and cleanliness, and customer service. General responsibilities include:

Shipping & Receiving

Pick orders and prepare them in staging areas for deliveryAssist with loading and unloading of delivery trucksPick orders for immediate pick-upEnsure accuracy of order against paperworkMove incoming product to the designated location in the branch

Customer Service

Greet customers entering the warehouse by addressing them verballyServe them immediately or indicate that they will be helped as quickly as we can manage

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skill

Valid Class 3 license required, Class 1 license preferredMoffett experience and assetHigh school education requiredAble to read and write word and letter/number sequences

Behavioural Disposition

High compliance with standards, requirements, and processes. You'll come to work and give us your best each dayEmotional intelligence that facilitates respectful and courteous interactions with customers and other Gentek employeesAttentive and detail-oriented 

Environment & Physical/Mental Demands

Must be able to safely lift 50lbsMust be able to operate material handling equipment Distribution branch physical environment: noise, fluctuating temperature due to bay doors being open and going in and out of the distribution truck, constant stimulation of senses (visual, audio distractions)
