We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Class 3 Driver to join our Operations team.

Location: 227 Henri Dunant St Suite 4, Moncton, NB, E1E 1E4

A Snapshot of the job:

Reporting to the Atlantic Branch Manager, the Driver is responsible for:

  • Transporting finished goods such as pet food, supplies and accessories by truck from our warehouse to our customers' retail stores located in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI
  • Providing a high-level of customer service when interacting with store personnel
  • Collecting cheques, cash and credit request forms from stores
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
  • Documenting and logging work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collecting and verifying delivery instructions
  • Reporting defects, accidents or violations

What you will bring:

  • Proven work experience as a truck driver
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel between New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI (no overnight travel required)
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • A clean Driver's abstract
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
  • Class 1 license would be an asset
