Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and dependable Budtender to join our team. In this role, you will represent the store by delivering outstanding customer service, educating guests on our range of cannabis products and accessories, and creating a welcoming, trustworthy experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about cannabis, thrives in a fast-paced retail setting, and excels at building customer relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable service by helping customers select cannabis products that suit their preferences and individual needs.
  • Possess strong, up-to-date knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and their effects to educate customers with confidence and accuracy.
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) System accurately to process transactions and manage inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.
  • Keep the sales floor and stock rooms organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing by regularly facing product and maintaining displays.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe workplace by following health and safety protocols and maintaining general tidiness throughout all work areas.
  • Handle customer questions and concerns promptly while upholding a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

  • Skilled in communication, sales, and customer engagement, with at least one year of retail experience preferred. Previous cannabis industry experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills required; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Leadership qualities that contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with COVA or other POS systems for efficient and accurate transaction processing
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 19 years of age or older.
  • CannSell License
  • Availability to cover day and night shifts, with a minimum of one night shift per week.
  • Weekend availability
