  • Lead supply & production planning to deliver accurate, feasible short- and long-range plans.

  • Translate the demand plan into capacity, labor, and production requirements while managing cannabis-specific constraints, and optimize schedules for throughput, service, and efficiency.
  • Set and maintain inventory targets, policies, and safety stocks; manage adherence and balance service with working capital.

  • Collaborate with commercial, finance, procurement, manufacturing, QA, and logistics to ensure seamless operational execution.

  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and required trade-offs clearly to senior leadership.
  • Modernize planning systems and digital workflows while driving automation, data integrity, and enhanced analytical and scenario-modelling capabilities.

  • Define and track KPIs for service, inventory turns, schedule adherence, forecast integration, and planning accuracy.

  • Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and standardization of planning processes
  • Develop and mentor Supply Planning and Scheduling leaders, building functional depth and a high-performance culture.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and executive storytelling skills, able to articulate trade-offs and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and coaching capability.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, build scenarios, and recommend clear actions.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Expertise in cross-functional alignment, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and planning/scheduling tools; experience with ERP and APS platforms required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technology adoption and process change initiatives.

Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with strong operational execution discipline
  • Influential cross-functional leader who can drive consensus
  • Change agent with strong process orientation
  • Tech-forward mindset and passion for digital innovation
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • High accountability with a continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required.

  • 8+ years supply chain experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years leading S&OP, supply planning, or production planning at a senior leadership level.

  • Proven success transforming or building an S&OP process within CPG, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries; cannabis experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or optimizing advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Anaplan, Blue Yonder).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments with complex constraints, batch scheduling, and product lifecycle management.
