We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This will be a permanent part-time position assisting the in house CPA. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a thorough understanding of financial concepts. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper documentation for all transactions
  • Perform account reconciliation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting entries
  • Utilize Sage accounting for efficient record keeping
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with management on financial planning and reporting initiatives
  • Various administrative jobs as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software is essential
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation
  • Knowledge of debits & credits, payroll processing, and tax experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
