Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Senior Data Modeling & Analytics Specialist
to join our MPC Business Analytics Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making within the manufacturing environment. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, analytical capability, and business process understanding to support data initiatives and enable actionable insights across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data engineering, data modeling, and business intelligence tools, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate operational processes into analytical logic.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Modeling:

  • Design, build, and maintain data models that support manufacturing and operational analytics.
  • Develop, test, and optimize dataflows, pipelines, and data models to support reporting and analytics.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including IFS Cloud and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Automate and streamline recurring processes using Python, APIs, and scripting tools.
  • Translate complex business processes into logical data flows and analytical structures.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.

Data Visualization & Reporting:

  • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize insights for leadership and operational teams.
  • Advanced DAX skills.
  • Optimize report performance and usability for end-users.

Technical Development:

  • Utilize advanced SQL, Python or R to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline recurring data processes.
  • Work with Microsoft Fabric to design scalable analytical environments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with business and functional teams to validate data logic and align metrics between operational and analytical layers.
  • Document data definitions, logic, and reporting processes in a structured and accessible manner.

Data Governance & Quality:

  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards and maintain strong discipline.
  • Support data quality checks and process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Core Technical Skills:

  • Advanced SQL – strong query development and optimization experience.
  • Python – data manipulation, automation, and integration scripting.
  • Data Modeling – design and maintain efficient data structures for analytics.
  • Power BI (Advanced) – strong DAX, data modeling, and visualization skills.
  • Microsoft Fabric – experience with dataflows, pipelines, and notebooks.
  • Data Integration – building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.
  • Documentation Discipline – clear, consistent technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to translate business processes into scalable data logic.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with IFS Cloud (ERP systems).
  • Knowledge of API integration and automation scripting.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Analytics, or similar technical analytics roles, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment.
