Training & Development Specialist

We're a rapidly scaling Canadian organization in the mortgage and financial services space, looking for a Training & Development Specialist to design and deliver practical, high-impact training programs that support performance, consistency, and growth across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, simplifying complex information, and helping people succeed in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions
  • Create and maintain training materials, playbooks, job aids, and learning resources
  • Partner with team leads to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions
  • Track training completion, progress, and effectiveness
  • Support leadership development and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Standardize processes and document best practices as the organization scales
  • Update training programs based on feedback, performance data, and business needs

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in training, learning & development, enablement, or a related role
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience designing training materials from scratch
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and effective training methods
  • Experience with LMS platforms or training tools is an asset
