Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the candidate to have bartending knowledge therefore is not suitable for minors.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed in support of the team
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
  • Provide guest services that promote customer satisfaction and repeat business

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and making change accurately
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
  • Experience with food handling, food safety, and food industry best practices
  • Kitchen experience or hospitality background is advantageous
  • Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience
  • Good communication skills and a professional appearance are essential
