Our Challenge

Synechron is looking for an experienced IT Technical Business Analyst to support key health projects by gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions, and working with teams to ensure successful project delivery within the Ministry. This role involves working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to align systems with operational and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of new IT solutions.
  • Ensure projects follow governance and change management processes.
  • Communicate requirements and project status effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health legislation like HIA and Electronic Health Regulation.
  • Support multiple projects, including system modernization and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in business analysis and requirements management.
  • Experience working in healthcare or health systems is preferred.
  • Ability to document workflows and technical specifications clearly.
  • Good understanding of health laws and data regulations (e.g., HIA).
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience working with senior health stakeholders in Canada, especially Alberta, is an asset.
  • Degree or certification in Business, IT, or related fields is preferred.
  • Must live in Canada and be open to hybrid work (remote with occasional in-person meetings in Edmonton or Alberta).
  • Must provide criminal record check before starting.
