Adecco is currently seeking a Senior IT Data Analyst for a contract position with a leading Oil & Gas company in Calgary, AB.

In this role, you will leverage data and automation to solve business challenges and enhance efficiency across the organization's IT/OT systems.

The ideal candidate will possess
advanced expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI,
as well as strong skills in data modeling and processing techniques.

  • Location:
    Calgary, AB
  • Work Schedule:
    Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | (5 days in office)
  • Contract Duration:
    One year

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Analyze and interpret data using statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop data models and generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver data-driven solutions and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data systems and processes for efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Advanced proficiency in
    SQL, Python, Power BI,
    and data modeling/processing techniques. Experience with
    Databricks, PI Data Historian,
    MS SQL Server, REST API programming, and other data visualization tools.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    Familiarity with upstream oil & gas operations, including Process Data, SCADA, Field Data Capture, and SAP.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis capabilities.
  • Collaboration:
    Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication:
    Skilled in presenting complex information clearly through reports, dashboards, and visualizations to diverse audiences.
