Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students through the exploration of various artistic mediums. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a desire to foster creativity and self-expression in students. This role involves teaching art concepts, techniques, and history while encouraging students to develop their unique artistic voices.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles.
  • Teach a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
  • Organise art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum.
  • Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate new ideas into the classroom.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching art at the primary or secondary level is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of various artistic techniques and mediums.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for fostering artistic talent in others.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining discipline.
