The Opportunity:

We are partnering with a client who is a global leader in engineering solutions for complex and demanding environments. They're looking to add an experienced
Electronics Hardware Designer
to their team. This is a chance to take ownership of exciting design projects, work with cutting-edge technology, and see your work perform in some of the harshest conditions worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading the design and development of new and customized electronic products.
  • Designing ruggedized boards covering power, analog, digital, and microcontroller circuits.
  • Supporting embedded code development for microcontrollers and programmable FPGAs.
  • Translating requirements into detailed product specifications.
  • Selecting and evaluating components to meet strict performance and environmental standards.
  • Preparing and maintaining BoMs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
  • Contributing to PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and production transfer.
  • Ensuring designs meet safety, EMC, and industry standards.
  • Participating in feasibility studies, DfM reviews, and simulations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production, supply chain, and customer challenges.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • BASc/BEng in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of electronics design experience, or an Electronics Engineering Technology Diploma with 7+ years.
  • Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Mentor PADs, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of electronic principles and circuit design techniques.
  • Experience with Ethernet, opto-electronics, sensors, and multi-gigabit designs is a strong asset.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • A creative, detail-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
