Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, EnerFORGE, this newly created position will support the development of existing and new project opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong project management expertise, a passion for capital projects, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward ambitious goals.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. In addition to the base salary EnerFORGE offers highly competitive benefits, employee reimbursement programs, and bonus structure.

As the successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Apply formal project management methodologies and expertise to manage construction projects from conceptualization through completion;
  • References to Ontario regulatory frameworks such as the Ontario Building Code, ESA, OEB guidelines, OHSA, and TSSA requirements;
  • Expand responsibilities covering procurement (RFP/RFQ development, change management), project controls, commissioning, BAS/SCADA integration, and multi-site utility project coordination;
  • Apply qualification such as PMP, P.Eng/CET/CEM with CHP, district energy systems, renewable generation assets, and lifecycle asset management;
  • Manage large technical infrastructure projects in Ontario, including permitting, municipal coordination, and ESA/MOECC submissions;
  • Stakeholder engagement, board-level reporting, and cross-functional collaboration;
  • Actively manage project schedules, budgets, project-related contracts, and contractors;
  • Ensure drawings, plans, and schedules are accurate, understood, and implemented correctly;
  • Represent ENERFORGE at project, and related meetings and respond to customer/partner requests in a timely fashion;
  • Oversee the programming and commissioning of systems including CHP, boilers, chillers, and any other mechanical and electrical systems implemented including analysis for electrification to meet green energy standards;
  • Oversee the integration of various projects at different geographical locations to centralized control;
  • Involved with the creation of proper documentation and coordination of training for site operators;
  • Contribute to the conceptualization, evaluation, and planning of new projects, including site visits, proposal preparation, technical feasibility studies and vendor evaluation;
  • Utilize project management software to develop Work Breakdown Structures, Gantt Charts, Critical Path Identification, Project/Baseline Schedules, Earned Value Management Controls etc;
  • Ensure proper site health & safety and contractor management.

What you have to offer:

  • Education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology or relevant technical experience;
  • Formal project management training and experience;
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience with technical projects with costs exceeding $10M;
  • Experience with the design and/or operation of electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to develop and deliver project results on time, to cost, and with quality;
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, combined heat and power plant operation and control principles;
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, distributed generation and storage operations;
  • Effective decision-making skills through the use of sound judgement and technical knowledge;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to liaise with various stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of all applicable construction and safety standards, codes, and legislation;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address issues in a timely manner;
  • Must have valid 'G' driving license in the province of Ontario.
