Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Yard hand & Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations on-site. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of projects. Clean Drivers abstract Required

Duties

  • Operate equipment including skid steer, and loaders for clearing snow, loading pallets & operating a pipe grapple
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Inventory and pack mud products up to 80 pounds to build and wrap pallets
  • Sandblasting and prep work in the welding bay.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment to minimize risks and hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, demonstrating effective commercial driving skills.

Skills

  • Proficient in heavy equipment operation with experience in bulldozing, loader operation, and crane handling.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic upkeep on heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for safe operation of machinery.
  • Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is essential.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas
