Controller Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management and financial reporting
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities
  • Perform bank reconciliations and oversee daily banking transactions
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities
  • Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system
  • Assist with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing-related financial processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and data accuracy
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to leadership

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting or controller-level experience
    , within manufacturing
  • Strong proficiency in
    MS Excel
    (pivot tables, lookups, modelling)
  • Experience with
    banking transactions
    , reconciliations, and cash management
  • Hands-on experience with
    ERP systems
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a contract environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
