Controller Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management and financial reporting
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and oversee daily banking transactions
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities
- Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system
- Assist with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing-related financial processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and data accuracy
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to leadership
Qualifications
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred
- 5+ years of accounting or controller-level experience
, within manufacturing - Strong proficiency in
MS Excel
(pivot tables, lookups, modelling) - Experience with
banking transactions
, reconciliations, and cash management - Hands-on experience with
ERP systems - NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a contract environment and manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
