Job Summary

We are currently hiring a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a position in Mount Brydges.

Flexible availability is required. Ideal availability includes weekdays from 06:30-08:30 and/or 15:30-20:30 with weekend flexibility from 07:00-15:00, 10:00-18:00 and/or 15:00-20:30.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, toileting, hygiene, etc.)
  • Monitor client safety and report concerns to the Director or designate
  • Support safe arrival and departure of clients
  • Perform household duties (laundry, cleaning, end-of-shift tasks)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Respond professionally and calmly in emergency situations
  • Support the Community Nurse with client health assessments
  • Assist with or lead activity programs
  • Report actual or potential issues promptly
  • Complete incident reports as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PSW Certificate (required)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (within 12 months)
  • Recent TB Test (within 12 months)
  • Additional certifications considered an asset:
  • U-First
  • Safe Food Handling
  • Other relevant training
