Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary skills, contribute to a positive dining experience, and work within a professional kitchen setting. Prior restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests when required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer preferences is a plus
- Experience with food service operations, including serving guests when necessary, is desirable
- Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
