Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is pivotal in managing end-to-end logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of logistics systems, and a strategic mindset to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth across e-commerce, freight, and distribution channels. This position offers an opportunity to oversee complex logistics functions and implement process improvements that drive cost savings and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to ensure seamless inventory management, procurement, and distribution.
  • Manage transportation activities including fleet management, transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination, and transportation planning.
  • Lead procurement activities such as sourcing, category management, pricing negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Implement process improvements using data analysis skills and supply chain analytics to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC operations, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain processes such as packaging, sourcing, dispatching, and warehouse experience enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards across all logistics activities.

Skills

Minimum 2-3 years' management experience in warehouse operations, supply-chain management, distribution or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory management, warehouse distribution, procurement, and transportation management.
  • Proficiency in logistics software such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics and data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with freight forwarding, 3PL operations, NVOCC procedures, and shipping & receiving protocols.
  • Skilled in demand planning, forecasting techniques, and pricing strategies.
  • Familiarity with materials handling equipment including forklifts; forklift certification is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with experience managing large teams across warehousing, dispatching, procurement, and transportation functions.
  • Ability to develop strategic sourcing plans while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across departments and external partners. This role offers a dynamic environment where strategic thinking meets operational execution in the fast-paced world of logistics management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency improvements while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance across all supply chain activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
