We are seeking Senior Logistics Coordinators to enhance our dynamic team in the Toronto office. This role is pivotal for those who excel in navigating the complexities of logistics with a forward-thinking approach. It's not just about managing day-to-day tasks; it's about anticipating challenges before they arise, particularly in the ocean importation process, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset to foresee potential issues, ensuring our logistics operations run seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive Monitoring and Resolution: Actively monitor ocean import and export shipments, ensuring timely follow-up, tracking, and tracing. Identify problems before they escalate and implement timely resolutions. Your ability to foresee and mitigate potential challenges in the ocean importation process will be key to success.
  • Knowledge of Customs Procedures: An understanding of customs procedures and examination processes is crucial. Candidates should be familiar with the regulatory requirements to facilitate smooth customs clearance for shipments.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Handle all necessary documentation accurately, including invoicing, import declarations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant customs procedures and examination processes.
  • Customer Interaction and Support: Provide exemplary customer service by engaging with clients over the phone. Offer updates on shipment status, guide them through customs regulations and procedures, and efficiently handle any complaints or concerns.

Qualifications

  • Ocean Import Expertise: 5+ years experience in ocean import operations within a Freight Forwarding company, with a profound understanding of the intricacies and challenges of ocean importation. This includes significant experience with the shipment deconsolidation process.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality or efficiency.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a proven track record of thriving in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
