Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Helpdesk Assistant to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth operation of IT systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a dynamic environment, supporting a wide range of operating systems and networking technologies.
Duties
- Respond promptly to help desk requests via ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy platforms.
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Assist users with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Support computer networking issues including LAN, firewall configurations, and VPN access.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise tools.
- Configure and maintain user accounts and permissions across various systems.
- Support IT infrastructure including hardware setup, installation, and maintenance.
- Document issues and resolutions accurately to facilitate ongoing support efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
- Maintain excellent communication with end-users, ensuring clear explanations of technical solutions.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues within Microsoft Office Suite and other common applications.
- Understanding of computer hardware components and basic repair techniques.
- Ability to provide effective desktop support and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Knowledge of IT support best practices along with excellent communication skills for customer service excellence.
- Experience with network security protocols and operating system security features is a plus. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology support who thrive in fast-paced environments requiring strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $57,000.00 per year
