About the Role
The Uber Eats team is looking for sharp, highly motivated individuals to join our Global Delivery Partnerships team in Canada, covering our largest national restaurant partners with strategic brand value. As an Account Manager, you will work in a client-facing role to drive partnership expansion through demand generation, pitch and upsell strategy, and operational excellence. Account Managers work cross-functionally with Partner Engineers, Operations, Product, and Marketing to optimize partnerships and provide maximum value for both Uber and our strategic merchant partners.
Who are we looking for? Someone who has proven success building best-in-class partnerships with complex brands and developing deep executive-level relationships. This candidate will also have a passion for logistics, eCommerce, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
What You'll Do
- Be an internal and external advocate. Be the restaurant's go-to person, navigating internal processes to deliver the best outcome for the client and our market.
- Develop and execute a partnership strategy to achieve quarterly growth goals.
- Focus on operational success, using internal data and our reliability team to identify insights and action plans to improve delivery timeliness and completion rates.
- Build relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within partner organizations.
- Bring your analytical A-game. Develop business models and conduct analyses to understand trends, provide meaningful insights, and track the impact of initiatives against our goals.
- Handle the big picture and the tiny details. You are organized, timely, and ensure nothing gets missed; you are also attuned to high-level strategy and consistently come up with new ways to add value to existing partnerships.
- Partner with cross-functional teams. Be the voice of the customer and effectively navigate internal processes with partners across teams such as Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Finance.
- Expand product adoption. Communicate the value of our newest products through a creative lens to differentiate our offerings.
- Drive initiatives. You will lead and support key initiatives across our team to drive growth for our restaurant partners at scale. This involves wearing many hats and jumping in to help your teammates when the needs arise.
- Employ critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to navigate relationships and difficult partner conversations.
- Identify areas of improvement across operations, and consult partnership leadership.
- Remain up to date on media/marketing industry trends, network, and demonstrate your subject-matter expertise in the Enterprise/Global 3PD space.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role working with enterprise or mid-market-sized accounts.
- Instinct for handling partners. You have a consistent track record of successfully handling complex partnerships.
- Ability to build and implement joint business plans, prioritizing initiatives that will drive strategic value for the partnership.
- An intuition for people. You spend the majority of your time working with various internal and external teams, building and cultivating new relationships with potential and existing partners within all parts of an organization.
- Ability to flex your analytical skills and use data to influence decision makers and quantify opportunities.
- Product sense. You know what makes a product experience not just good, but amazing. You lead cross-functional teams to create partner integrations that delight users and drive measurable impact.
- Speed, resourcefulness, and go-getter attitude. This team moves fast and always operates in new spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing enterprise and executive-level partnerships, ideally with global brands.
- Experience in food delivery and/or third-party marketplaces at a high-growth tech company.
- Experience working in ads sales, marketing, operations, business development or partnerships at a leading restaurant brand.
- Speed, resourcefulness, and go-getter mentality. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity.
- Creative thinker with a passion for problem-solving and driving innovation.
- Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking. Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and build high impact presentations and deliverables.
- Excellent negotiation, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
- Coachability, interest in implementing feedback, and dedication to improving your craft and our team's development.
