Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Supporting clients in hospice care by offering emotional support and companionship during challenging times.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in patient care, home care, or similar roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with assisted living or nursing home environments is advantageous.
  • Skills in meal preparation and an understanding of dietary needs for various health conditions.
  • A background in medication administration and knowledge of safety protocols related to patient care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A compassionate nature with the ability to provide emotional support to clients facing health challenges.
