We have a fantastic opportunity in Campbell River at Campbell River Veterinary Hospital

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Animal Care Attendant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should be friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills. Some experience working with animals is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring patient care is a priority within our hospital
  • Feeding, cleaning, and caring for hospitalized patients
  • General cleanup of the hospital inside and out.
  • Provide excellent customer care
  • Assisting Technicians and Veterinarians with daily tasks
  • Cleaning and prepping surgical instruments, and the surgery suite.
  • Front desk duties
  • Answering the phones and booking appointments

Job Requirements:

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Be comfortable handling animals
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Greeting clients and patients
  • Ability to work with a variety of typical office equipment sure as a computer and multiple types of software and social medial tools, phone, fax, email, etc. is required
  • Have the ability to learn medical terminology
  • Be comfortable working under pressure, while keeping calm
  • Be proactive and take initiative to work effectively without supervision
  • Be able to prioritize your workload
  • Be flexible to work some evenings/weekends.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 40lbs and spend an extended time standing

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
