Veterinary Assistant/technician

Campbell River, Canada Merecroft Veterinary Clinic Full time

Must be able to perform all assistant duties, including, but not limited to: animal restraint, assisting with radiographs and surgical preparation, running and setting up bloodwork, preparing prescriptions, instrument sterilization and various ongoing cleaning tasks. Some reception duties may be required, as needed, such as: answering phones, booking appointments, invoicing, admitting and discharging patients, selling product, and client education.

Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in a Veterinary clinic is preferred but willing to train the right individual. Applicant must be mature, personable, hard working, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. The ability to deal with the public calmly in stressful situations and be a dependable team player is of the utmost importance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
