Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their visit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records. The Patient Care Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for patients, facilitating their experience within our medical office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and any necessary follow-up care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Assist in managing billing and insurance processes as needed.
  • Assist with patient referrals, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with referring providers.
  • Guide patients through completing insurance forms and submitting necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all health regulations and office policies.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in medical terminology is essential.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems is required. Use of Jane and Ava in office.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care is essential for success in this role.
