Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe All Rounder/Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in the food industry while supporting daily cafe operations. Prior barista or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems transactions, and handle cash and card payments with precision.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, including coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, baked goods adhering to food safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including counters, tables, equipment, and food preparation stations.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure the cafe is well-equipped for daily operations.
  • Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
  • Uphold food safety standards and proper hygiene practices at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food industry roles such as barista, server, or cashier is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with square is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work during cafe hours, weekends is a must. This role offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in customer service, food preparation, and cash handling while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
