IDS | Beyond Technology is a technical solutions company with a focus and expertise in digital, visual and communications. We create solutions for our customers in the areas of digital signage, interactive applications, computer sales and support, telecom/VoIP and security.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of technical systems across different environments. The ideal candidate will possess a firm foundation in installing, maintaining, and repairing network data and fibre lines, security and camera systems, WAP, and VoIP phone systems. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and the chance to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Duties

· Installation of Cable/Conduit

· Installation of Fibre Optic Cable/Conduit

· Termination of cables, tracing/testing cables

· Installation of Security Cameras and Alarm sensors

· Troubleshoot and repair issues for digital signage software/hardware.

· Installation and Repair of VOIP Phones and Wireless Access Points

· Panasonic and Nortel knowledge is a must

· Maintain strong customer relations through daily contact with customers

· Create Job completion paperwork (as requested)

· Research and stay up to date on new technologies and methodologies.

Skills

· Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams

· Strong knowledge of construction practices related to electrical and mechanical systems

· Experience working with computer hardware, networking, and telecommunication systems

· Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, sensors, power tools, and hand tools

· Familiarity with CCTV systems, sensors, and related security technologies

· Mechanical knowledge for system assembly and troubleshooting

· Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately

· Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

· Effective communication skills for working with team members and clients

This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Prior experience in telecommunication is highly desirable. The Installation Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the successful deployment of complex systems that meet client specifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have a valid driver's license (clean driving record)

· Must have/will obtain working at heights certification/training

· Must be able to lift heavy boxes

· Must be willing to work on weekends/after hours (when required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
