Job Title: Financial Specialist

Job Description

As a Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for managing budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with various business units. You will conduct detailed variance analyses to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures, partner with operational teams to anticipate future spending, and inform strategic planning. Additionally, you will prepare and manage accruals to ensure accurate financial records and deliver timely, insightful financial reports to leadership. Building and maintaining complex financial models using Excel is also an essential part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with business units.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actuals and budgeted figures.
  • Partner with operational teams to anticipate future spend and inform strategic planning.
  • Prepare and manage accruals to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Deliver timely and insightful financial reports to leadership.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, variance analysis, and accrual management.
  • Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IFS functions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with discrepancies between budgets and actuals is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
