Job DescriptionAbout the Role
As the National Director, you will be responsible for the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, including Lighting services. You will leverage your technical expertise, operational & financial excellence along with business development & client engagement in successfully executing projects. In your role, you will support the growth, foster synergy between Canadian and international teams and promote cross-functional collaboration. More comprehensive details are below.
Visionary Leadership:
- Establish and develop a strong organizational structure for our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, incl. Lighting) service line in Canada.
- Develop and implement visionary business plans for the MEP Service Line (Buildings) in order to support the growth of both of Egis's Business Lines (Transportation and Energy & Sustainable Cities).
- Anticipate market changes and innovations to position Egis at the forefront of the industry.
- Foster synergy between Canadian and international teams, promoting cross-functional collaboration and success.
- Play a key role in merger and acquisition activities to drive Egis's expansion and integration.
Operational and Financial Excellence:
- Oversee executive management of MEP teams across Canada, including the Structural teams, where applicable.
- Collaborate with human resources, commercial, and operational teams to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Ensure service excellence, efficiency, and profitable resource management.
- Maximize the financial success of the service line, with full responsibility for the profit and loss account.
- Lead operational and budget planning with a focus on growth and profitability.
Business Development and Client Engagement:
- Be a trusted advisor and ambassador for Egis, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify, develop, and convert opportunities into transformative projects.
- Lead marketing campaigns aligned with Egis's strategic objectives in Canada.
- Lead teaming arrangements and proposal preparation, ensuring innovative and client-centered solutions.
Technical Expertise and Mentorship:
- Serve as a recognized specialist in mechanical and electrical engineering, buildings, lighting, plumbing, vertical infrastructure, linear transportation and or municipal engineering.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and teams, fostering growth and innovation.
- Ensure designs meet and exceed codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering or related field
- Minimum 25 years of demonstrated experience in MEP management with proven track record of successful project delivery
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Ability to grow, recruit and retain talent.
- Client facing for all MEP large pursuits and projects as required.
