The incumbent is responsible for carrying out various installation, inspection, preparation, repair, and maintenance tasks at the E.P. Sénéchal Center and other municipal facilities.

  • Prepare, maintain, clean, and service equipment, materials, facilities, and grounds at the E.P. Sénéchal Center and other municipal infrastructures (e.g., baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, Richelieu pool, Malobiannah Center, etc.);
  • Transport, install, set up, and dismantle equipment in designated areas and arrange rooms and fields as required.
  • Maintain municipal lawns in spring, summer, and fall;
  • Clear snow from the E.P. Sénéchal Center grounds during winter using heavy equipment (snowplow);
  • Assist with the setup of facilities and infrastructure for various municipal events (e.g., Winter Carnival, Tractor Pull, Potato Festival, etc.);
  • Responsible for the maintenance of indoor and outdoor rinks at the E.P. Sénéchal Center;
  • Enforce regulations with the public and escort trespassers off the premises;
  • Perform any other similar tasks requested by the supervisor in line with skills, qualifications, and abilities.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Experience: Experience in cleaning, maintenance, or a similar role is preferred but not always required.
  • Technical skills: Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, facility management, and minor repairs.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently, and organize time efficiently.
  • Autonomy and responsiveness: Ability to respond quickly to urgent requests or unexpected issues.
  • Personal qualities: Strong sense of cleanliness, attention to detail, and order. Good communication skills and team spirit.
  • Driver's license: A Class 1 or 3 driver's license is required to operate heavy equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.95-$31.54 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
