Blueprint Financial is a fast-growing Canadian financial planning firm with one of the country's most active personal finance YouTube channels. In a little over a year, we've grown to over 44,000 subscribers and reached more than 5 million viewers.

Our videos help hundreds of thousands of Canadians each month with investing, taxes, retirement planning, and cross-border strategies.

We run a lean, modern, content-focused operation and need someone who can sharpen our scripts and ensure every upload meets a consistently high standard.

What You'll Do

A mix of research, editing, and quality control. You will:

  • Edit scripts for clarity, flow, and readability
  • Fact-check content on CPP, OAS, RRSP, TFSA, tax brackets, contribution limits, and thresholds
  • Catch outdated numbers, errors, and confusing explanations
  • Apply final polish based on our brand voice
  • Suggest stronger titles and thumbnail ideas
  • Review edited videos to catch factual mistakes, typos, incorrect figures, missing visuals, or pacing issues
  • Provide timestamped notes to the editor
  • Perform final upload checks for title, description, timestamps, links, thumbnail, tags, and end screens
  • Ensure files export correctly in 4K and are scheduled properly

What We're Looking For

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • High attention to detail and good at fact checking
  • Comfort researching Canadian financial topics
  • Familiarity with AI tools
  • Understanding of pacing and viewer experience in YouTube content
  • Organized, reliable, and able to follow checklists

Bonus if you have:

  • Background in business, finance, journalism, economics, communications, content creation.
  • Experience editing long-form content or scripts
  • Experience working with YouTube

Hours and Pay

  • 4–5 hours per week to start @ $30 per hour
  • Flexible schedule, completely remote
  • More hours possible as duties expand

Tools We Use

Google Workspace, YouTube Studio, ClickUp, Slack, and AI tools. Experience with YouTube workflows or financial research is an asset but not required.
