Halton Financial Group (HFG) is a full-service financial planning firm, offering investments, insurance, income tax and estate planning. HFG has worked hard to develop long term relationships with our clients, spanning generations of families. This role is for an experienced assistant or Junior Advisor to work with our knowledgeable wealth management team already in place.

Primary responsibilities will include meeting preparation, paperwork, and client care. This is not a remote position.

Job responsibilities include:

Client appointment preparation, printing existing client statements, reviewing existing files for updates (i.e., KYC) and assessments for RRSP, RDSP, RESP, TFSA contributions, assisting with the organization of client documentation, online and paper based.

Supporting the new business process from generation and completion of application forms to account funding, including monitoring the progress of submitted applications to ensure they stay on track, communicating with clients and staff throughout the process.

Communicating with clients by telephone and email regarding retirement strategies, income tax planning, estate provisions, insurance products and eligibility, handling questions or complaints, administrative and underwriting issues to full resolution.

Conduct trades as directed and update accounts as required. Update and maintain client data base, files, and contact records.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative position in the financial industry with a College Diploma in Business Administration, or equivalent employment history.

Familiarity with NDEX systems is an asset

Basic Income Tax knowledge

Basic knowledge about Life and health insurance an asset, LLQP preferred

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is preferred

Excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently without supervision. A self starter that is willing to jump in and design or learn new processes.

**Ideal candidate will have or be working towards completing their CSC and CPH
